About us

OMC is a scientific and technological platform aimed at supporting R&D activities related to the validation and use of mouse models of human disease. The facility is rationally designed to ensure a controlled flow of animals from the SPFO vivarium to the areas designed for diagnostic and monitoring procedures. Animals obtained from external sources access such areas directly and can be hosted in clean, ventilated closets for as long as required by the diagnostic protocols. Specialized staff is appointed full time in the various areas and received supports from professionals operating in the hospital, particularly as it pertains to the  imaging and comparative pathology activities.
